Paul & Michele Straubel (OHF Oak Hills Center for Indian Ministries)

God gave us a vision for a disciple training center that would provide Native Americans with biblical education, ministry training, and life-skills development in a culturally relevant setting. Our goal is to build the church by preparing a new generation of Native Christians to love and serve Jesus Christ in their own culture and around the world.

In 2009, our mission opened Mokahum Ministry Center near Cass Lake, MN. (This same property once housed the Mokahum Indian Bible School, open from the 1940’s until its closure in 1978.) Paul is currently heading up ministry training and public relations for Mokahum as well as teaching at least one modular course per semester.

It is exciting to see what God is doing! We believe Mokahum will be instrumental in helping many Native Americans reach their full potential in Christ.

Paul is also now the director of CIM, which has ministries on these reservations: Red Lake, Leech Lake, and the Little Earth community.
